My session with upcoming-senior Brittany was a wonderful way to end my 3-month stay in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The weather remained stable (a miracle in itself!) and I had fun running around the lakeshore with Brittany and her mom.
Brittany was a pleasure to spend time with; reserved but quick to laugh. I’m not great at giving my subjects direction, but as you will see, she overcame this quite gracefully.
After looking through the pictures several times, I am amazed at how she seems to be a teenager in one photo and then a mature young woman in the next.
(This post will be published while I’m in the air somewhere between Washington and Wisconsin. Yay for technology!)
I discovered today that I love taking pictures of people. Landscapes are neat. Animals are fun. But, people… photos of people are why I can’t help bringing my camera with me pretty much everywhere. Capturing the glint in someone’s eye, a momentary expression of sadness or joy, a child’s youthful exuberance – that’s why I can’t give up photography… even if it is just a hobby at this point in my life.
