So, if you haven’t heard of a ‘diptych’ before, here’s a very simple ‘Awkward Photographer explanation’: the term refers to the juxtaposition of two (and potentially more) images that tell a story or evoke a certain emotion.
I am in love with this concept. In love.
It adds an additional layer of artistic expression to the photographs.
Here is my favorite diptych so far. You’ll probably remember Brittany’s graduation shoot from a few weeks ago. Paired up with a thistle that I noticed along the lakeshore, I find the combination of soft and bristly touching.
