Teamwork

This was the second wedding that Cassie and I shot together. I love having her with me, not only for emotional support (I feel less awkward with a teammate) but for her eye as well. Oh, and she has awesome hair. (And she’s been my photography subject a time or two, in addition to being the bride in the very first wedding that I photographed.)

Seriously. This girl is awesome. I look forward to working with her again.

This is how we get ready… on the way… in the car… while singing along to “Single Ladies”:

And this is what happens once we are there:

We try to take turns with shared items, such as a stepstool. But sometimes, our individual artistic ideas take over and we use the ‘rock paper scissors’ method of determining who gets to use it. Just kidding. We don’t do that. We twist each other’s arms until one of us says ‘uncle.’ eh. Just kidding… still. We don’t do that either. We share nicely. Not very exciting.

Weren’t my nails (below) awesome?! The mother-of-the-bride treated me to a manicure the day before the wedding. So sweet!

      

In addition to taking great pics, Cassie stepped in to help the bride out when she had problems with wardrobe tape.

The picture on the left (below) was an attempt to test out the lighting in the area where the ceremony would be performed. How’s that for a fake smile? (I don’t do well in front of a lens!)

Cassie, thanks for being my photograbuddy. I love you! (and I really mean that… not in a cheesy ‘I love you’ sort of way, like what you might say to someone that you knew for a week. No, I mean it in the sort of way that you reserve for a friend that has gone jogging with you and laughed with you about ridiculous things and listened to you when you cried over the phone and calmed you down when you were freaking out about all sorts of things.)
